This report assesses the effectiveness of the Division of Juvenile Justice's risk assessment instrument, the YLS/CMI, for predicting recidivism. The report found that it was effective for males, but not females. The report includes suggestions for more effective use of the instrument, and other information about recidivism among youths served by the Division in 2008.
