Comparative Analysis of Crime Rates – 1960 to 2006

This document provides a comparative analysis of crime rates for Connecticut, the United States and a cohort of other Northeast states – Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. This trend analysis is based upon the categories of Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) data collected by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for the years 1960 – 2006.
