Description
The State of Alaska has been making use of community-based residential programs both as a reintegration tool and as a safety valve for prison crowding. This report provides the results of an examination of offenders who have been in residence at the Cordova Center in Anchorage, which has been in operation for five years. The research was undertaken in order to profile residents and to attempt to identify offender characteristics which might be associated with successful completion of the residency period.
