Group: Wyoming Center for Criminal Justice Research
The Wyoming Survey & Analysis Center (WYSAC) at the University of Wyoming proposed this research project as part of the 2010 State Justice Statistics Program for Statistical Analysis Centers. Accepted projects were funded by the Bureau of Justice Statistics. The study examines statewide prescribing patterns of Schedule II and above drugs as recorded through the Wyoming Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP). PDMPs are databases that contain prescribing information of drugs that have high potential for abuse, such as opioids, benzodiazepines, stimulants, and barbiturates, among others (Schedule II and above)
