Underage Drinking Needs Assessment

Underage drinking is an issue that receives a great deal of attention in many forums in Alaska. A wide range of organizations and agencies, both public/governmental and private expend considerable energy addressing this problem. It is a problem that contributes to accidents, attempted suicides, poor physical health, and more serious crime. Hidden effects include the increased probability of addiction to alcohol as adults. This report provides an assessment of the scope of the problem, efforts to address it in a variety of domains, and data resources and systems that help in assessment and tracking progress in addressing the problem.
