Report of the Advisory Committee on Minority Judicial Sentencing Practices

This report by the Advisory Committee on Minority Judicial Sentencing Practices was commissioned by the legislature in 1979. The Judicial Council assisted the Committee in its work, and maintains its formal report to the legislature. The Advisory Committee used data collected and analyzed by the Council in making its findings and recommendations about bail practices in both misdemeanor and felony cases, magistrate training, post-conviction relief, criminal justice agency employment practices, presentence reports, sentencing guidelines and other aspects of the criminal justice system.
