The report reveals that juvenile arrests throughout the state have generally decreased since the mid-1980s, but arrests of juveniles for violent offenses have increased. Closer examination reveals that this rise in juvenile arrests for violent offenses is largely attributable to an increase in the reporting of robbery incidents that result in arrests.
